Queen Float - 2013

The Uptown route is packed with five different parades today. Downtown will feature a couple more unorthodox rolls. First, Carnival’s smallest parade, the krewe formerly known as “‘tit Rex” will pull their satirical shoeboxes through the Marigny. Then, the Intergalactic Krewe of Chewbacchus will celebrate nerdom in all forms in one of the season's longest parades.

The weather gods have once again bestowed another parade perfect day on the Crescent City. Although skies wil be overcast, the National Weather Service (NWS) predicts no chance of precipitation. Temperatures are explected to hit the low 70's with lows around 30 degrees.

The Krewe Formerly Known as "’tit Rex(Downtown, 5:00p.m.) Themed “No Big Deal,” the shoebox sized floats will travel on the same Marigny route the parade graced in 2015.

’tit Rǝx is a walking parade famed for small, miniatured floats with a massive bite. The shoeboxes are reminiscent of grade school projects with an adult humor. Still, the parade is decidedly family friendly. Throws are handmade and eco-friendly, often themed to fit their float.
