A not so small change has occurred regarding when we roll next year and into the future.
The City of New Orleans has mandated that all downtown parades that have rolled on our original weekend can no longer roll then due to a strain on resources/conflict with the uptown parades. We’ve been told that the police can not manage both downtown and uptown parades concurrently.
We fought hard to keep our Saturday but in the end are being told we must switch to a day that falls before the two big weekends of Mardi Gras. So next year and onward we will parade the Sunday after Krewe du Vieux.
Next year’s date is February 17th. We’ll start a tad earlier at 4:30 from the same spot, St Roch Ave and Marais St. Mark your calendars. We look forward to seeing you there!
